Christmas 2012

Now that its more than a month past Christmas, I have given up on the idea of putting together a really cute Christmas blog post.  So these are just a bunch of pics that I wanted to include.  A little bit of everything!  This first one is from going downtown Seattle with some friends.  We got to ride an outdoor carousel, look out at the Puget Sound from Pike Place Market, eat at the mall, and walk around and enjoy the lights and sights!

Crazy boys around the Christmas tree, because standing still and smiling is like torture...

but they were able to pose for just a second:

Singing at church the Sunday before Christmas:

Yes, our church has a LOT of children!

A note for Santa written by Christian:

Getting ready to open stockings:

Each boy received a Michigan sweatshirt from my parents

Ezra sandwich:

Each year we put a note on the tree for each boy which is the first clue to a search for one of their presents.  We hid the clues by writing out little riddles on each paper this year.  They had to work a bit to find the present!

Austin's hidden present was a (used) ipod touch.  Christian and Ezra received (also used, love Craig's list) Nintendo DS.

I didn't get a picture of it, but my favorite present that the boys received was an indoor sports set they got from Grammy and Pa with hockey/soccer goals and small plastic hockey sticks and balls that have been a lot of fun to play with in the dark dreary month we've had since Christmas.

We went to Wenatchee, WA, for 3 days to play in the snow and swim in a hotel pool right after Christmas which was really fun.  Unfortunately I left the memory card for the camera in the computer at home and was too lazy to buy another one so no pics!  We did find a really fun tubing hill at a small ski resort that made for a fun afternoon.  All in all, it was a quiet but meaningful Christmas.
